We all need some good distractions right about now, right? And that’s why I love writing trivia. For instance, did you know that depending where you are in the US, there are different names for intersections that form a circle? Where I live, we call ’em “traffic circles.” Easy peasy—they’re circles, and they divert traffic. But elsewhere, they’re called “roundabouts” or “rotaries.”

If you’d like to see more things with wildly differing names depending on the region, then you’ll enjoy one of my more recent pieces published in the Farmers’ Almanac. Check it out: 10 Common Items That Have Different Names Depending on Where You Live.
